I have worked in digital business for more than 20 years, building websites, online communities, ecommerce businesses and digital products. In my late fifties I learned Python and Django so I could build the software I wanted to use myself.

Today I use Djangify to run my own businesses and continue developing it based on real-world experience.

History of Building Communities

Long before Djangify, I was building online communities and publishing digital content.

In 2008 I founded the Dominican Diaspora online community and digital magazine, bringing together people from around the world through technology.

That experience shaped the way I think about building reliable software for independent businesses.

Why I Built Djangify

I built it for myself because I wanted a better way to run my own online businesses. Instead of relying on multiple services, I built a system that combines the tools I use most into one application. I spent months building and testing this infrastructure to run my own digital shops. It worked beautifully and in early 2026, I decided to package it so other creators could escape subscription fatigue and take back control of their online business.
